Team Training

Team Training Setup is an important step that is performed during pre-season and before each separate competition.

Through training, team members can enhance their skills or maintain their current proficiency.

Training Team

  • (1) Every team member has 100 training units by default. But you can increase training units for some prioritized persons using the slider. It will decrease training units for others.
  • (2) To improve training, it is possible to get additional training units by viewing Ads. Click on the “Configure” button at the right-top of the screen, view Ads, and get 10% additional training units for the team. Training Improve
  • (3) Tap on the team member's name to open his Person Card and set training priorities for him.

Person Training Priorities

Another important step is to set up personal training priorities. Click the person's name to open the Person Card screen. Here, you can adjust the training priorities among four skills: shooting prone, shooting stand, speed, and stamina.

Training Person

By default, each skill has 25 training units, which is enough to maintain its current value. If a skill has more than 25 training units, it will improve; if it has fewer, the skill will decline.

Training Session Result

After each training session, there will be a review of its results.

  • If the skill is changed by less than 0.2, it will be shown symbol =
  • If the skill is changed by more than 0.2, it will be shown arrow up or down (if the skill is improved or degraded)
  • Tap on the arrow or = to see the exact value of the change. The upper value shows the change from the last training session. Below value - total change from the beginning of the current season.

Important Notes About Training

How many training sessions will there be during the season?

One training session is at the beginning of the season and one before each competition. Usually, one season consists of 10 competitions, so there will be 10 training sessions.

I didn’t see significant changes in skills after training. Why?

Don’t expect significant changes immediately. Skills will be changed during the season step-by-step. One training session might improve skill value maximum of 0.4-0.5. A change of 0.2 can be considered a very good change. It is a small change to see any significant influence on results immediately. But by the end of the season, after 10 training sessions, skill value might be increased by 2-3-4 points. After 2-3 seasons, it is possible to bring a "middle" biathlete to the "top leader".

What skills should I improve more than others?

All skills – shooting accuracies, speed, and stamina are important. The general useful strategy would be to prioritize improvement weakest skills of the person.

When can I change training settings?

Training sessions will be held before each new competition, allowing you to adjust your settings as needed. However, you can generally use the same training settings throughout the entire season.

Important Notice: skills maximums

One thing to keep in mind: while the high limit for shooting prone and shooting standing is 95-96, speed and stamina have a virtual limit of 82-83. These limits are called "virtual" because skill values can still be increased beyond them, but improvements become much slower. When shooting accuracy is near 95, or speed or stamina approaches 82, further progress will be very slow. Therefore, if a team member's skills are close to these virtual maximums, it's better to allocate more training points to other skills.

info

Although it is possible to set a minimum of 50 training points for the team member, it would indicate that you are not interested in this person. If a team member has less than 80 training points, and less than 80 mood and form, he will be moved to the Reserve team before the end of the season. At first, you will receive a warning about it and, if the situation isn't changed, after the next competition, he will be moved from the Main Team to the Reserve, most probably without replacement. It will reduce the number of available training units for the team. To prevent moving a team member to the Reserve, give him at least 80 training points.

What about the skills of other teams members? Are they changing?

Skills values of other teams members are not changed during the season, but will be changed between seasons. Before the beginning of the next season, the skills are changed based on the person's age or by the historical data (for historical databases). Your team members skills will also be changed in the same way during off-season.

What is the best strategy for the team training?

Although there is no ideal strategy, there are some tactics that you can use:

  • Give more training points to the possible leaders and fewer to the weakest team members
  • Give more training points to the younger team members and fewer for the oldest (because the young will improve more during off-season and might become the new leader of the team after some seasons, but the older ones can be degraded and lose all progress received during the season)
  • Keep in mind that to get the best results during the season, you need at least 3-4 strong team members, not just one or two
