  • (1) - Set a name for the current game if you like to save its state and restore it later when necessary.
  • (2) - Or set the checkbox "Do not save current game" if you don't like to save the current game state.

There are several databases that you use to start a new game:

  • Version_26.03.30-s26 - default database, created on April 5, 2026, and starting from season 2026/27.
  • Version_26.03.30-s25 - also created based on data available by April 5, 2026, but starting from season 2025/26.
  • History_2018 - historical database, starting from the season 2018/19.
  • History_2014 - historical database, starting from the season 2014/15.
  • History_2010 - historical database, starting from the season 2010/11.

Historical Databases

What are the differences between historical databases and standard databases?

A historical database is not just a snapshot of biathletes and their skills from the past season. It is multiple databases in one. So, biathletes skills between seasons will be changed according to information on how it was in reality. By managing your team, you can make additional improvements for your team members during the season, as usual. And new young athletes who were not strong enough to be in the main team in the first season will be added from the second, third, or further seasons.

Here are some notes on the features of the historical database:

  • Retirements. The retirement process is managed by the usual game algorithm, which determines retired persons based on their age and achievements. So, if someone retired in reality in 2022, it doesn’t mean that he will do it in the game in 2022.
  • Changes in names. Some women and even men changed their surnames and names over the last years. Moreover, IBU changed the names forms of some athletes multiple times. The game doesn’t support changing biathletes names. So, for every person, it is used their final (current) name form.
  • Changes in countries. Some biathletes changed their countries. Currently, the game doesn’t support changing the team, might support it in the future. So, for now, the final (current) country is used for the person starting from the beginning. There are some exceptions when an athlete chooses a country where they might achieve more. For example, if they were a leader in their old country but won't make the main roster in the new country, they might remain with their old team. This situation is rare because most people move to countries where they have better chances of joining the main team.
  • Anti-Doping Decisions. Some athletes were disqualified due to decisions by the anti-doping committee. Races that were annulled for these athletes are excluded from the calculation of their characteristics. However, we do not completely exclude these athletes from the seasons in which they competed.
