Off-Season

Off-season is a period after the end of one season and the beginning of the next season. Let's review some events which are performed during this period.

Skills Updates

During the off-season skills of all persons (from your team and other teams) are updated. The change in skill values depends on the person's age. For biathletes under 28 years old, the skills are improved (the younger the more change), from 28 to 31 - kept the same, and after 32 starts to be degraded. For historical databases, skills are changing according to historical data on past seasons.

Retirements and Moving from Main teams to Reserves and vice versa

Other off-season events: some biathletes decide to retire or finish their career. The probability of a person's retirement increases in the following conditions:

  • Old Age - the older, the more probability
  • Achievements - if someone already won everything: Olympic Games Gold, World Championship Gold, Crystal Globe and many World Cup Golds, the probability of retirement is increased
note

It is one of the reasons to improve several team members smoothly instead of just one person (giving him everything in training and neglecting the rest of the team). You can make one team member strong enough to be the World leader, but after winning everything, he will retire, and you will be left with a weakened team.

  • Low usage - if someone, in contrast, was not used during the season, didn't participate in races - the probability of retiring is increased.

In addition to retirements, there might be a move between Main and Reserved teams if someone in Reserve becomes stronger than a Main team member. Retirements

Change Team

During the off-season, you can change managed teams and become the Head Coach of another team country. Select a new team in the same way as at the beginning of the game
