Pre-Race Settings

Before the Race start, you can set team members priorities for the first lap (before the first shooting prone).

PreRace Settings

To prioritize ski speed, move the slider to the left. Moving it to the right means prioritizing shooting accuracy. If the slider is in the middle it means balanced scheme.

You can set the slider to the far left or far right for full prioritization of speed or shooting accuracy, but usually, you’ll use intermediary positions to set priority at 25%, 50%, or 75%.

When you prioritize ski speed, shooting accuracy will decrease. Conversely, when prioritizing shooting accuracy, speed will decrease.

Before the race, you set priorities only for the first lap, before the first prone shooting. The main skill that matters at this point is shooting prone accuracy. If it is high (as with PREUSS F., for example—95), it may be wise to prioritize ski speed slightly. If shooting prone accuracy is low (e.g., 80), it may be better to prioritize shooting for the first lap.

Priorities for subsequent laps can be set during the race, after each shooting range.

Race Priorities FAQ

I set maximum priority on shooting for the lap, but the person made more mistakes than usual. Why?

Setting priority on shooting really increases shooting accuracy. But even if it is increased, for example, from 80% to 88%, there will be still 12% probability of errors. Moreover, shooting accuracy depends also on stamina, especially in the last range.

How much will shooting accuracy increase if I select maximum priority for shooting?

The dependency is not linear. With maximum priority on shooting it can be increased from 70 to 81, from 80 to 88, but from 90 to only to 94. If your team member has 95% shooting accuracy already, setting shooting to maximum priority would add just 1-2 percent. There’s no way to guarantee 100% shooting accuracy or to eliminate the possibility of mistakes at the shooting range.
